Kanpyo Melon Hosomaki
This Kanpyo Melon Maki is made with dried Kanpyo Melon. Kanpyō (OR Kampyō) are dried shavings of melon-like fruit called gourd in English. It has a similar crunchy texture to cucumber or the white outer parts of watermelon. Kanpyō is most commonly used as fillings for vegetarian sushi rolls with sweet and savoury flavours. It is a healthy snack rich in calcium, potassium, phosphorus, fibre and iron. Once you have the first bite, you can’t stop to finish the whole pack.
